Youth Indoor Volleyball for Girls Age Group: Girls: 5th-8th gradeProgram Overview: The Recreation Youth Volleyball Program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and personal growth, providing a safe and supportive environment for athletes of all skill levels. This program is designed to empower young girls through the exciting sport of indoor volleyball.  Whether your child is a beginner or looking to refine their abilities, our dedicated coaches will guide them every step of the way.Program Objectives: Skill Development: Participants will learn fundamental volleyball skills including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defensive techniques. Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Emphasis on cooperation, communication, and respect among teammates and opponents. Physical Fitness: Engage in activities that promote strength, agility, and endurance, fostering a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness. Confidence Building: Create a positive atmosphere where girls can challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and celebrate their achievements. Program Details: Location: Recreation Department Gym, 275 Beaver Street Coaching Staff: Megan Woodacre & Heather Gramaticas, both experienced coaches with a background in youth volleyball, trained in fostering a positive and inclusive environment. What to Bring: Athletic clothing and sneakers Water bottle Knee pads (optional, but recommended) A positive attitude! Join us this season and help your daughter discover the joy of volleyball while building lifelong friendships and skills! Whether she dreams of playing competitively or just wants to have fun, the Franklin Recreation Volleyball Program is the perfect place to start.

This clinic will focus on intermediate level skills and game play strategies, with an emphasis on net play (dinking/volleys), third shots (drives/drops) resetting / gaining control of the point, proper footwork and court positioning. All participants should be able to execute all the basic shots and be able to handle spin and/or hard shots
