Tykes Hikes is a six-week drop off adventure on the newly cleared trail system behind Parmenter School. Each week brings a new theme as we enjoy nature walks filled with story strolls, animal adventures and plenty of outdoor fun. This program is designed for young children to discover the joy of being outside, moving their bodies, and letting their imaginations run wild; all while spending quality time with friends in nature.

Age Groups: Open to participants aged 5-14.
Skill Development: Focus on fundamental skills including stick handling, passing, shooting, and defense. Tailored coaching ensures each player improves at their own pace.
Team Play: Participants will be organized into teams, fostering a sense of camaraderie and encouraging friendships both on and off the court.
Game Format: Fast-paced street hockey games held weekly, with an emphasis on fair play and respect for opponents.
Coaching Staff: Jack Geromini and our experienced high school coaches dedicated to mentoring young players and creating a positive atmosphere.
Equipment: Participants can bring their own stick, or use one of the Recreation Department provided sticks. Appropriate athletic wear and sneakers or active footwear. Mouthpieces will be provided by the Recreation Department

Get ready for a BLAST!Amusement Park Adventures (February Break): Campers will focus on the design and build process as they learn about the science and engineering behind their favorite amusement park rides. By the end of the week, campers will combine all their rides to create a classroom size amusement park!

Field Hockey - Mini Stix - Mini Stix Field Hockey: Jan 8 - Feb 5 The Mini Stix program is designed to introduce field hockey in a fun and supportive environment. Programs are for the beginner to intermediate player. Each practice session includes basic fundamental skills, game play and fun competition. Skills will focus on passing, receiving, positioning, goal scoring, offensive and defensive techniques. Indoor field hockey stick strongly suggested.
